Ok, I'm really new at this so don't laugh! I'm still looking for a cheap quad but a lot of the quads I'm looking at have a "block off kit"
What the heck is this and why do you need or want it?

Thanks a lot - ** I'm currently looking at a 94 blaster, supposedly runs great, fast, engine totally redone.
The guy will take $1000
Is this a good price?

I think if you are looking at a Blaster,They probably mean an oil injection block off kit.The blaster came with a injection pump that mixed the 2 stroke oil with the fuel so as long as the oil tank had oil in it you did not have to worry about mixing the oil in the with the fuel it did it on its own.If the injection system failed it was cheaper just to block it off and mix the oil with the fuel on your own.also with it blocked off you have control of what oil to fuel ratio you run...

I hope this helps.....

The other type of block off is where the e-brake is removed and there is a cover (the block off) where it use to attach on the caliper. Cly is prolly right on this one though.

Thanks a lot guys I appreciated it. Thats kinda what I thought it was but need to be sure.

Yes the bike is a blaster, do you think $1000 is a good price?
Its only missing the front plastics. I know how to ride but looking for a cheap 1st quad. I can't figure out how to add a pic.,

$1000 doesn't seem like too bad of a price...you should try and get him lower on the price. A Blaster is a good first quad to just mess around with...don't put too much money into it, you will regret it later on!

with no front plastic its not worth 1000 IMO, try to get it for 900. good luck, blasty's are great quads! just take care of those breaks! or switch them out for good ones. i know alot about blasty's, shoot me a pm if you have any questions about how to make them preform well

my buddy picked up a running 99 400ex w/pipe and filter and bars, and a new clutch for $1000 - Dont pay that price for a 10 yr old blaster.

Hey guys you really helped me out. I'm going to stay away from the Blaster. I was winning a bid for a 97 300EX, but then he removed the item all together.

400exrider707 - Where? I've been looking all over the place a 4 stroke is what I really want. I like Honda but never really owned a dirt bike or anything just going on what friends tell me.

I'm really interested so if anyone sees a good deal pls shoot me an email. Prefer a 4stroke
