How would taking all of the preload out of the stock shocks affect the suspension? Besides lowering the bike, what else does it do?

makes it handle better too man. if you want, come over tomorrow tomorrow and we'll do it. they sell a wrench for it at motion but used a hammer and screwdriver.

already did. I couldn't get it with the hammer, but the pipe wrench did the trick.

its gonna make a much softer ride also so stiffen up the compression

if you are talkng about doing this on sotck shocks, it will also increase body roll because the spring is more slack, this can be somewhat countered by comp, and preload adjustments, but you might as well go with an aftermarket spring stack that come companies are selling and do it right.
