k&n and a ???

sup guys i just got my 02 400ex on friday. i love that damn bike. anyway monday im ordering nerfs and i want to get a k&n just for starting out easy. if anyone put a k&n in there 400 yet, did you notice any difference. my other question is the slide in the carb i hear is only 3/4 open from the factory. do you think mine is like that to. i could just find out myself but why do that if you guys know. thanks

I have a K&N on my 400 along with four 1" to 1.5" holes cut in the airbox lid and I had a noticable increase in throttle response with it. I dont know if it was the holes in the air box, the K&N or both but if you dont ride in muddy conditions I would strongly suggest the K&N with outerwear and holes in the airbox.

i put a k&n power kit in my bike and i notice a big difference with a 14t front sproket

When ifirst got mine i noticed that th throttle was adjusted so that i was only getting about 3/4 wot so i adjusted it out and i did notice a difference.
