Hi, I was wondering if the cheaper ebay oil filters are as good in they're filtering abilities as an OEM filter. It gets expensive buying them at the dealer all the time. So are they all pretty much the same? Thanks.

Actually, I was wondering the same thing myself, only about the reusable filters?? $10.00 each time I change my oil adds up.

Im not sure if "all" oil filters are the same but I do know that the cheaper ones work because thats all I use for my bikes and I have had Zero problems. I got my filters from www.rockymountainatv.com

Cool! Thanks for the info. Yeah I was refering to the standard ebay Emgo filters I believe. They have 10 filters for $22, that sure beats 1 for $6 at the dealer.:eek2:

walmart sells them too, its a fram #6015 i think. it comes with a neww o-ring for your oil filter cover too, they look exactly like the emgo ones most ppl are used to. anyone used those stainless steel filters, they advertise in a couple magazines, your suppose to be able to reuse them.

I just installed a stainless steel filter in mine. The oil looks the same in the window. I haven't changed the oil yet, but as soon as I do I'll clean the filter and see if it's dirty or not. If it's dirty it works, right?
