parking brake block off?...

i race and when i walk around the pits i see lots of racers with parking brake block off. what does it do and if i get one do i have to get a new clutch perch??

well simply,,,,,,,it rids the bike of the parking brake which is never used in racing,,,,,besides if it stuck it would do some real damage besides slowing you down. The perch doesnt have to be replaced,,,,,, but looks cleaner if you do,,,,,,i got rid of mine,,,,i just never used it and liked it with out it. Some of the racers on the forum might be able to explain why the got rid of theirs,,,,i just took a shot in the dark...........
