I know this has been brought up before, but could someone who has a 250 and 450 help me out, what all would need to be cut/fabricated to get 250r plasitc to fit 450 frame? I think it would look sweet, and like a conversion bike.

Is it even posible?

Im not saying it cant be done, but it would take some serious work. For starters on the 250r the whole rear plastic removes where on the 450 only the seat comes off. Up front the gas tank on the 450r would cause all kinds of problems, since they dont have any plastic covering them. I really dont see how it could be done and look good at all. But if you have a plan give it a try, maybe somebody else will have more info.

this is probably a lot more work than you would want to do but you could always buy a trx250r (the year that you want) and mount the trx450r engine in the whole chassis.

Walsh race craft made this kit for a Cannondale, and I was the proud owner of two MX cannondales with 250R plastic. It was the best thing you can do for the cannondale. Because the seat is so high.

I think the 450R would benefit greatly from this mod. Unfortanetly you would need, a gas tank, and subframe to make this a reality. It is very very doable, We just need a manufacturer to do it. Walsh kit was about $800. Not including the expensive 250R seat and plastic. I personally would be the first in line to do the transformation.

Hey fabricators: are you listening!! :D

i would do it also, ive got an extra 250r seat and tanks. i would love for it to look like the old R, im not a big fan of any of the newer looking 4 strokes.

would look a lot better, although i try not to buy anything based on looks which seems to be the trend. i would still do it, but after the performance parts were on 1st.
