Well tonight I picked up my 95 Wrangler, Black, 78k,5spd, I4.

Its weird getting used to the stick even though its pretty mmuch the same as the quad, but at least on a quad you are in dirt and can let the tires spin.

Anyway my question is the Jeep has a decent amount of scratches in it. I picked up Turtle Wax Color Cure in Black, it also came with something called chip stick.....anyone ever use this stuff? How id it? Does it hold up?

Thanks

The paint sticks are just like lipstick, they will come off eventually.

who cares what the paint looks like, throw a lift, a 350 and some 33s on it and rock some trails.

and a new transmission since jeeps tranmissions are pretty weak and it wouldn't hold up to the 350

just trade it in on a FJ40 and not worry about it. That or quit complaining about the pinstripes from the trail and go out and make your own.......:macho

Go out wheeling in it tonight, get it dirty as hell, and let the mud cover up the scratches. Then never wash it, and there you go. Miracle cure! That will be $50 for the free advise.

If your ganna put a 350 in there you would need somethin bigger than a dana 20 or dana 30 or you'll bust that out.

Man, you will love the stick, i would beg to drive sticks untill i got mine. Fun sheet.:D

try some rubbing compoud with a high speed buffer...meguires makes some good compounds try out their diamond cut series remember, go with a light cut and work your way up till the scratches are out

but if its a wheelin machine, battle scars are all for the better :macho

I've used it. The chip stick was darker than my paint so I can't say I was happy with it. You may have more luck. The wax was great! Hid every small scatch on the vehicle.

Use colored wax on my EX fenders too. Works pretty good.
