What's the lenth of a 450 rear shock and will it work on a 400ex?

from what i have learned having been an owner of both a 400ex and a 450r.... the ex shock is much better. i have adjusted all over the r shock and have the rebound slowed down all the way and its still not slow enough...that is for dune and mx play riding. im pretty sure that the linkage geometry is completely different between the two.

Once u send out the 450r shock to get ravalved and get a gt thunder link the rear is fine.
