Ok, i've searched, and havn't come up with a good answer. So anyways, what would be the all out best paddle tire for a 300ex? I'm thinking a straight blade, since i've heared a v's do little for the 300. I just want whatever will do me the best in sand. I'm not gonna be drag racing much, and will probably need something that i can climb, and still just ride with. So what paddle do you guys say is the best? Thanks! :)

we use sand devils from rocky mountian atv cheap and they work just fine on the 300ex. going to put the same on a 250ex.

I thought about GBC sand sharks, but i heared they were REALLY heavy. I was looking at some Skat Trak dune glider 6 blades. Anyone used them? Do you think they would be good on my 300? I thought that since they have a smaller blade, that they would be better for my 300. I'll have an exhaust, K&N, and jet kit by then, so i'll have some more juice, if that helps. Anyone suggest anything else?

I have GBC Sand Sharks on my 400ex, and they do ok, they don't seem that heavy either  but i'm not sure whats considered heavy!

I just heared out of magazines they were heavy, but i think they were comparing them to Skat Traks. Do you guys think a straight blade paddle would be better, or a v blade? I want whatever will give me the best performance, and i'll probably be cruising the dunes, riding hard. Maybe find me a 450 or 2 to drag, and just be in awe with my tongue hanging out, while i watch them kick my @$$! :p

My 300 I bought came with Sandskate II's and I also bought some new Geckos I want to try. Sadly, I haven't went duning yet so I can't help you. But something else to consider is you might want to gear it down, maybe drop to a 12 front sprocket. Seems like duners always drop a tooth since sand takes so much power.

i went up to a 14 front for my smaller rear razr's. I'll probably put the stock 13 back on. Should i get straight blades or v blades though?

Ya, but i think sandstars would be too much paddle for a 300.

Follow your own advice; six blades and Scat Trax; you can't go wrong.

Sve the big multi-blade tires for the hourse power machines.

duuuuuude!! gecko's SUUUUUCK! my aunt has sand devils on her 300 and they seem to work fine... not too aggressive since you won't be dragging.

Duuuuuuude!!:huh I got them CHEAP from another member, they were brand new so I figure I can try them and if I don't like the tires, I can sell 'em and probably make some money.;)

I have 20-10-10 8 paddle Skat-Trak The Edges. They work really well. They give good forward traction and they slide predictably around corners. They are also very light.

8 paddles? That sounds like a lot for a 300 to me. I'm sticking with 6 or possibly 7 when i get some. I read on Skat Traks website that the Sand Glider was made for 80's and small quads. Would they do ok on my 300, or should i go with something else? And honestly, is it that hard turning with a good straight paddle?

won't work... mini quad tires are exactly that! mini! and straight paddles are very good paddles... go with a 6 or 7 short straight paddle, like the sand devil or sand snake. straigt paddles hook up good and turn/slide predictably. get a 20-11-10 or 20-11-8...
P.S. - if your gonna go with skat-traks, get the rippers or haulers.... skat-trak isn't known well for their v-paddle designs... if you want v-paddle, get the sand stars...;)

Well, i was thinking the gliders might work since they are 20-11-8's. O well, i'm still thinking sand stars are too much paddle for a 300.

Are there many places out in Kansas for dunes? I may possibly be planning a roadtrip with a couple of buddies... Its still a work in progress. Tryin to find some places to go ride at, and just to go out west to see something new.
