your clutch is either way out of adjustment, or they are just gone. plus you need this moved to the 250r forum.

when it creeps and adjusted properly, it is most likely from a clutch basket with deep "grooves " in it.

you can file them down but it will never work like a new one..

i reccomend getting a oem replacment or an aftermarket one (will last alot longer)

oh ya and replace the clutch plates with a new basket.

my bottom adjustment has to ran all the way towards the back of the quad for me to be able to make any adjustments on the top....

how much do you think that would run me?

order your parts from www.servicehonda.com

def go with OEM clutch plates.......those are the best.

you can get a p/e billet basket thats alot like hinson from www.magicracing.com

or a stock basket that comes with a whole new gear on it for cheaper.

if nothing is wrong with the gear and the basket is grooved buy a aftermarket..

I had to get a new oem basket once after breaking a tooth of the gear and the second ride on the new oem basket the thing broke..

with the bike creeping I would say the clutch is bad, grooves usually make the cltch feel notchy.

ive heard different. (and have experianced it with my old 250R)

ive heard that the when the clutch is pulled in..(which disengages the clutch) the grooves hold the plates close together and dont let them slide appart.... making the quad creep

Its your clutch basket. It happened all the time to my 125 mx dirtbikes. Whenever your hard on a clutch it will groove the basket. Buy a new basket and you'll be set. ;)

nevermind im retarded..that would be the fly wheel that i was looking at....lol....i took the right side off this time...the basket fingers have little grooves on them ranging from 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch...what do you guys think about this...is that enough to cause problems like i have...or do you think its just my clutch...thanks for the help ....mike

You should definatley look at replacing the basket.I have had great luck with Hinson. Now did I read correctly did you say there is rust in your engine???That problem needs to be addressed imediatley.

Some motors have rust in there and some motors don't..... im not sure why but thats just the way it is.

I would buy...
Barnett springs
Stock 250r clutch plates
and a aftermarket basket

and that should fix you right up. Hopefully.
