To change the timing chain. All i have to take off is the side cover cluctch side and the valve cover is this correct?

you will need to remove the clutch basket to get it in there too. there might be one or two other bolts that need to be removed down there so you can get it on the sprocket in the bottom end. wait, check out the FAQ forum on this site. i think there is a write up on how to do it. for the clutch basket, you will need an impact.

The cam gear and cam will probably have to be pulled out of the way...

And yes an impact wrench works best on the main clutch nut...:mad:
