6 speed 400ex?

I was wondering if anyone knows if a 400ex cylinder would fit on a 350x trans. The motors are almost the same, but I don't know. I used to have a 350x motor and sold it to get a 2000 400ex. I thought of this crazy idea then. I know all the bolts, chain, crank etc. have to line up. If it would work, then you would have a six speed 400ex.:D

i really dont know but i bet it is highly unlikely. i have heard of a bike removing neutral and putting in a 6th gear, but i can't remember what bike that was on. i have heard of this a long time ago. i honestly dont know if it is possible though. i would do it if it was. :D you can go to www.servicehonda.com and look at the transmission parts for a 400ex if you want.

even if it was done.. the 350 tranny wasnt built for a 400 sized motor..

I'm sure it could handle it. You can get 370+ PV kits for the 250r. You can always change the sprockets also.
