Are they REALLY worth it? i run XC at a local series with some GNCCS next year, im thinking about buying a 450 and putting some small modslike shocks, pipe nerfs skids and whatnots, i really want to keep my 400 but my wallet says diffrent, so are they really worth the money for cross country? BTW im about 6' 175 and rode a 400ex for a little over a year now.:D

and you coudnt go wrong with a 450 man. ive ridden my friends a few different times and its awesome. dont let any one tell you different, especially just because its a kick start. its smooth as butta to kick over.

im at a toss up now, i know how easy you can kick them over thats know big deal, but idk if i wanna spend the money just for a local series and 3 GNCC's i think ill just build the 400 for now and upgrade next winter.:confused:

get the R, i have had less trouble starting the R than i did my ex it would get qwirky sometimes, but its worht the cash no doubt if you ever ride one you will be hooked

shocks, pipe, nerfs, skids...are very small mods....


But anyways, Brian, dont even think about it....get the 450. Even if your just racing locally and a few GNCC's, they are still fun to ride....

Not to me. Shocks are extremely expensive.

What would be a large mod? I think new shocks all around would cost more than pretty much anything else.
