I'm looking to upgrade my suspension and i cant spend 2 grand. what would be better...a rebuild and valving? works shocks? or maybe something else. Are Works as good as the 450R stock shocks? I havent heard many good things about them but i would think they would be better than stock...right? I'm just looking for the best bang for the buck here. I heard good things about C & D rebuilds but also GT Thunder as well, just need some honest opinions. thanks guys.

go with the rebuild. your stock shocks already have features you cant get with normal works

I thought you said you were going with jrd or dc4's? you can't run your stock shocks with a long travel a arm

you can run stock shocks with JRD arms. I'm lookin for something relevantly cheap but perform well. dont have the loot for elkas or axis or nothin like that.

thats what i did....

they are now tripple rate zps fronts fully adjustable and dual rate rear fully adjustable. IMO thats better than any works shock.

you need a longer shock for long travel a arms. I guess you're going with their cross country arms?

C&D, GT Thunder, and DeRisi racing which I prefer. all have kits where they can make your stock shocks tripple rate and revavle the interior for a great performance! That will be a great improvment over stock!

Got nads?

Works performance also sells kits to upgrade your shocks to triple rate zps, and they also have valve kits!:D

What is the ball park figure for getting all three shocks reworked by c&d? I have seen those and they look pretty sick!!

I believe they are charging $550.00 for the setup.

the rebuild is the way to go, with the tcs parts for the price its untouchable in my opinion, my shocks are being rebuilt now cant wait to get them back

well pm colby i had planned ahead so he knew when my shocks were coming but he had told me in the past they didn't take that long but he is doing my motor and sending it all back together, so i know it would be faster if you just had the shocks rebuilt

While ur on this subject how much does it cost to just revavle the back shock and make it a dual rate.

I PMed colby about that before and got the response that they won't do just the rear. They do all three.

I would imagine has alot to do with the his work load.
Call 308-696-7805 ask the man himself. That way you will have a better estimate.

I sent my dads shocks out to C&D on a Tuesday they received them on Friday. Then that following week was Thanksgiving so it wasnt a long week and I got the shocks back on Monday. Very fast if you ask me and they look great :)
