250R Frame Gusset Question

I am in the process of rebuilding my 86 R and would like to gusset and powdercoat the frame, but I am unsure of where exactly is the best places to gusset the frame. What are the weakest areas of the r frame? Any suggestions and pictures would be helpful.

I have the same problem, and since rriders.com is down right now.....anyone know? i'm just about to sand blast the frame, and need to know soon.

the most problem areas I have seen as well as had with my R's are: top where steering stem clamp goes, front and rear around shock mounts, and the area where the swing arm bolt gos through, also where the subframe connects to the frame.... that weld seems to get weak.. hope this helps

Yeah 2r's Rider has some great pics of where the frame should be gusseted. He also performs some excellent powdercoating work so you might keep that in mind too. Tom
