get some channel locks and squueze the top of the ball joint and the spindle, then tighten away,, there are prolly better ways, i just dont know of them

Put a nail through the hole where the cotter pin goes. Then, grab it with a pair of vice grips. Once you get a little more pressure, it will grab and you won't need the nail any more.

I hope I am just an old man (37) who is out of touch with today's lingo and people know the difference between probably and prolly. Prolly sounds as stupid as prolly looks.

You have to push the rubber boot up. Then there's like a shoulder or whatever its called under that. You then put some channel locks or vise grips on that and tighten away

how far up do you push on the boot, till the screw is to wide for the spindle

Ok, here is a pic of a 300ex front a arm i got from service honda. On the bottom a arm i have the boot in a square. You push it up or down wiht like a skinny screw driver. There will be a round shaft without threads, it'll have a shoulder on it. Take the vise grips and clamp on to it as tight as possible.

he's talking about aftermarket arms.. they typically don't have the flats to grab onto..

take a c-clamp and use it to squeeze the ball-joint + spindle together as tightly as you can, you should then be able to tighten the nut down..

Make sure the threads are clean and not damaged either.

The balljoints have shoulders on then and I used a c-clamp and clamped it on top of one ball joint and on the bottom of the other and tightened it.

yea thanks guys. i got them to tighten i used some vice grips(like hand-held vice) to clamp the joint to spindle and tightened very slowly. works great.

bad news was that my friends had to go to the track without me cause we couldn't get it at the time
