What is the deal with brake pads?

$75.00 for a set of 3, and these things are THIN! Olive Oyl has more meat on her than these pads.

I can do my Chevy truck for $29.00 and get more then 36,000 miles out of them, this seems to be a huge "Fleecing of America"

Whose using what, and what are you paying?

For the rear, use solid brass brakes from Box Brakes at $30. They will outlast others at least by a 3-1 margin.

If I remeber rightly, there was an article on off-road.com about doing your own pad's for a quad. Said that you could put new material on the old pad plates for pretty cheap.
