Turbo'ed and intercooled @6-8lbs of boost, mazdaspeed cams, ACT Stage 2 clutch other minor things. It was an awsome hndling car the Protege MP3 (limited production) came with different struts , springs, strut bars, anti-sway bars, and good brakes...

Here it is now though...

Long story short, i rolled it... Well i caught the shoulder on the right(from the road to the shoulder dropped 3 inches) over compensated(there was a car directly in front of me) and ended up on the left shoulder, almost got back on the road but ended up back in the shoulder sideways as soon as i hit the black top, then i got into a field and flipped 3 1/2 times, the first roll being airborne.

Its stock for now, I would like to chip it and put a full turbo back 3" exhaust on it for now, that will put me around 200HP and 220 LB Ft. Also would like to lower it 1.5" with some 18" wheels, tint, yada yada.

Damn man, driving a lil to fast ? Its crazy rolling in a car, i was with a friend of mine and he rolled his car at 85mph! he overcorrected 3 times before we rolled once in the air hit the ground rolled and went upside down slid like that for awhile then it when back on its 3 wheels left and stopped!

Did you get hurt at all ? looks like the car held together pretty well

I would let it look stock... free up the intake, get a differnt downpipe and the exhaust, possibley intercool(if it isn't) and a boost controller, etc... needless to say people would not expect it lol

I was goin like 65 or so... i just got a cut in my head(it bled like h3ll when i was hangin upside down, my passenger was untouched(luckily)

The car still runs great... but the body doesnt look as bad as you would think, but its worse lol, the front of the car is collapsed quite a bit and the entire car is tweaked alot, i guess its still fixable, but its not worth the $14,000 i was quoted

I have already removed the snow pipe off the intake which runs back up into the fender to keep snow and crap from getting in, but I didn't need that, so I took it out and now I can hear the turbo a little better. It is already intercooled, works fairly well but is a side-mount unit and is easily heat soaked if stopped, but according to my vag-com temps drop pretty quickly especially when on the free-way my intake temp will be about 10* cooler than ambient.

I am thinking about putting a manual boost controller on it, I could then run 14.5 psi of boost without hitting limp mode, I need a chip to run up to 19 which is what the stock turbo will handle. 14.5psi will get me about 180 HP from a stock 150HP and 10psi.

I think I might just drop it 1.5" to reduce wheel gap and leave the stock Rave wheels on it, I like the idea of a sleeper very much and the ONLY thing to let people know it is a 1.8T is the turbo badge on the back and a spoiler than pops up at 92mph and looks like glass when layed down. I love seeing the guys in the riced out civics cry when I blow by them in a stock beetle. I see very few 1.8T beetles around.

Well if you still have the car, you could take the engine out and put it in something else! Maybe get a regular protege a cheaper one and do the engine swap!

When i was in the wreck with my friend i was also uninjured. He had some bad road rash on his arm, you could see the muscle :ermm: but hes fine now

Not a real fan of the new beetles but those 1.8 turbo engines work pretty good if I must say so myself.

Yeah i do intend on reworking the motor and putting it in another protege, along with the turbo... Also all the stuff that a regular Protege doesn't have is fine or very easily fixable, so im good there, i have a bid in on one at my bank a 2003, with some damage on the drivers rear door, that door is unscathed on my mp3 so yay for making myself a new car... hopefully :D
