i have a 2002 honda 300ex and i'm looking into gettin the built for racing or at least for more all around power. i live in illinois, does anyone know a place thats close that could build it. or is there at least a respectable place that i could send it too anywhere?. how much should i bore it out too? i was thinking either a 330, 350, or 380 bore. anyone have any opinions one these sizes. i was also thinkin about gettin a racing cam. is there anythin else that i should or could get to get more power out of the motor. i could use all the help i could get thanks

Talk to Laz at www.gtthunder.com. I've heard nothing but great things about his work and customer service. If I ever get anything more done to my 300, that's where it's going. I think his shop is fairly close to you but I haven't looked it up.

My brother has a 300 with a 350 kit done by GT Thunder and it has unbelivable power all around. I dont know the cost though.

cost is just a tad more than a 330, its whatever the labor is to bore the cases. my gt350 was awesome, i couldnt have been more happy with the power. just a thought- but the 300ex is put in a warrior class alot with a 350cc limit, so you might not want to go w/ a 380 so you will have more class options. laz is in millersburg ohio.

I WOULD CONTACT SPARKSRACING ARE POWROLL AND SEE ABOUT GETTING A STROKER KIT IT WILL PUMP YOUR 300 UP I WOULD TRY AND STAY AWAY FROM BIG BORE KITS IT WILL BRING ALOT OF PROBLEMS WITH IT UNLESS YOU HAVE HEAVY DUTY ROD PUT IN ALONG WITH HEAVY DUTY TIMEING CHAIN .BUT THE STROKER IS THE WAY 2 GO FOR RACING IF YOU WANT A FAST REVING AND HARD PULLING MACHINE.

sparks wait isnt worth it and i think gthunder builds a better motor anyway.there also alot cheaper. you also can get more power out of a 300ex with a stock stroke so the expensive stroking really isnt worth the money. strokers also rev slower, not faster. they do have more torque tho.
