grinding the headpipe?

Hey guys, what does it mean to grind down your headpipes?

If you take off your headpipe you will see inside where they mount to the motor there is a little weld bead around the inside. You can grind this down flush with the pipe to get a little more flow. I did mine but havent got my cylinder back from terry so i cant tell you what kind of gains i got from just that.

how should you grind it down though ?? HOW????

With some sort of grinding wheel. Use like a dremel or I used an air grinder with a realy abrasive tip then I used a smoother tool to smooth them out
