Hey Zakk, sup dude! Thanks man, i'm glad to finally have it back and rippin' it up on my own quad. We had a TQRA Winter Series race today, it was fun as hell. Cold and wet but really fun. I finished 2nd overall in Open B class, so it was a good day.

Your suzuki is pretty sweet, actually I love it! It's the sickest 'Zuki I've seen, even over Gust's bike. I like the colors of yours, looks awesome. Your frame is trash though, haha! I did a double-take when I looked at it!

Yeah, I'll be at the Arenacross in Tulsa. I'll actually be able to do both sat and sun races hopefully. Thats the plan at least. Heh, back to the yammy eh? Hopefully Matt and me will have a lil' better luck this time!!

Here are a few places where the gussets are....

Roy "sleeved" this part of the frame where everyone is breaking them, like myself. Mine was broke on both sides and he was able to fix it and make it look clean.

Here's a bar Roy put in on the nose of the frame....

Is that like textured Powdercoat or something? It looks like its got some texture to it.

Oh, and those nerfs look like they mount different than mine. Are they like a special kind? Just wondering.

RedRacer44

Yeah, its called Textured Flat Black. It has a rough feel to it, its different from what a lot of people are doing. I love how it looks, its suppose to be a thicker coat too and more durable but who knows. Its goign to come off sooner or later, heh especially the way I ride. WFO!! :D

You will have to give us a report on how it holds up after you have quite a bit of time on the frame.

RedRacer44

Can do! It should be fine now, i'm not too worried about it. I think its going to hold up to the abuse of MX a lil' better now.

So you had the gussets and the pc done at JH racing?

kazpr

Ya fear he did.

RedRacer44
12-07-2004, 09:54 AM
Yeah. JH Racing has his own outside welder and powdercoater that he has used, they do great work. His welder is amazing, I've seen other stuff he's fixed or gussetted....his welds look better than the factory welds on frames. The powdercoater does top notch work too, can do any color you want.

JH Racing can handle just about any need you might have for your quad, he's our local quad shop that specializes in sport/race quads (TRXs, YFZs, Z/KFXs).

What are the dates for the arena cross in Tulsa, and where is it held at?

yfzrider93
12-07-2004, 11:28 AM
The arenacross is on Dec. 11th and 12th. It's gonna be at Tulsa Expo Square.

RedRacer44

What Zakk just stated is correct. Quad classes on Saturday are Open and Pro. Quad classes on Sunday are Beginner, Novice, and Intermediate if I remember correctly. Zakk and myself will be there on Saturday and I'll be there on sunday hopefully too.

Nice quad man!

I just got my nerfs, f+r bumper and motor mounts done with that textured flat black color. Just by how it feels its seems like it would hold up a long time.

Were you at the Claremore race? Do you know how to get to the Tulsa expo center, I am coming from KC, MO and haven't got a clue.

Yeah, I was at the Claremore AX race on saturday but I was on a borrowed 450R. I'm not exactly sure how would be best for you to get there. My best advice would be to get the street address for Expo Square and then just go to MapQuest to get directions. Thats just my best advice for ya.....its not hard to find though.

ml450r
12-09-2004, 07:29 PM
I know how to get the directions from mapquest, what I don't have is a street address for the expo center or a number to call to get it. If you look at the flyers for the arenacross series there are no phone numbers to call. I would normally just drive there and look for it, but I think Tulsa is a large city. I was at claremore Saturday. I was on a white yfz #12, I'll probably be at Tulsa this weekend, If I can find it.

RedRacer44
12-09-2004, 07:44 PM
Here is the street address:
4145 E. 21st Street
Tulsa, OK. 74114

You can go to ExpoSquare.com and found out a lot of info too. They have a Directions page that will probably help you out!

What class did you run?? I was #44 on the TRX in the Open class. I'll be running Open class on Saturday and Intermediate on Sunday.

I was in the pro class. I saw the bike you were riding when I pulled in. I ended up with a 3-3 finish. thanks for the addrees. Maybe I'll see you saturday.

RedRacer44
12-13-2004, 11:50 PM
Yeah, it does look like it and its just as tough. This stuff should hold up pretty well, I hope!

Just a quick update, I put my Honda up front this weekend with a 2nd overall finish in the Quad Open class and a 1st overall finish in the Quad Intermediate (A Class) at the local ArenaCross series here in Oklahoma.

Chance, you only got first Sunday because I wasn't racing! Haha, just messing with you man, you rode great. Watching you guys sucked, I really wanted to be out there with you. I just hope I can get the Suzuki back and get everything set up so I can race both days in Claremore.

I believe ya Zakk! I got lucky the 1st moto because Matt got caught up in the gate or I woulda had him kickin' my *** like he did the 2nd moto. But once you get the 'Zuki back, you're going to hand us all our asses on a regular basis...I guarantee it! Then its not going to be any fun for us, I'll probably hang it up after that. Haha! Man, have you checked out the website of the guy who took the photos on saturday and sunday?? There's a bad *** picture of you and me right next to each other in the air going up that step-up to the right of the starting gate. It's a sick picture! I didnt realize you pulled that close to me on that section. Man, it was fun though....good times at the track!

Here's a link to the picture: AX Pictures (http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventorder?photo=0816001U0A0029&start=0&album=0&adjust=-1)

Yeah man, that picture is awesome. I'm going to order one sometime this week. I guess I was pretty close to you. I think you and Matt are probably the only guys I can get that close to and not be scared for my life.

RedRacer44
12-14-2004, 09:02 PM
Yeah, I hear ya....I get real nervous when people get real close like that. Never know if they're going to land on ya or what. I know you guys will hold your line and are aware of the quads around ya. Matt, Jimmy, David, Steven, and you are some of the few that I will pull up real close to and not worry about something bad happening, USUALLY! It will be interesting once again when we head back to claremore, I cant wait!
