How does the motor start with the chock removed. Mine will just crank and crank if i do that. Also what kind of performance gains will I get for removing the chock

If you remove the choke, you need to go to a larger pilot jet, usually a 42. When I start mine, I usually pump the throttle 2-3 times (depending on the temperature) & fire it right up. You usually need to give it a little gas right after it fires up. Hold it at say 1/8 throttle for 3 seconds. As far as power gains from just that mod, I'm not sure, since I did this at the same time as a bunch of other mods, but every little bit helps.

Oh yeah, if you have a WB rev box, that makes it a bit tougher to start, especially when it is cold outside.

By removing the choke it increases the flow.
more flow=more power. you can feel it a little.
