i am looking at a 330 kit for my 300ex. i was lookin in the December issue of dirt wheels and i found this....-scary fast kit-, J&E 330cc bi bore pistion, Hi-preformance gasket, Rev-Box, and K&N Hi-flow filter. its about 271 for it all. is it a good deal. will i beat a stock 400ex.(mods are in sig) and how hard is to install.

does anyone know any good 330 kits for a 2003 300ex.(mods are in sig) how much is the kit gonna cost and how hard are they to put in?

u wont beat a stock 400,my buddy has a 350x conversion w/ about every motor mod u can think of and he barely kept up w/ my cousin on his stock 400

330 kits require your old sleeve to be pressed out, cylinder rebored, new sleeve pressed in, bored, then honed. So your going to spend money on the machining in addition to the price of the kit. It's not very hard to do with a manual because you just have to take the topend apart. Pulls alot harder than stock but I would also recommend a cam and rockers at this time also. I am still looking for a good used webcam/rockers for mine to really bring out the power of my 330 kit. Oh, in your sig, 300ex's only have one piston and they don't make a Hotcam for it.

i know a guy with a 330 kit and he runs 15 front sproket and 36 on the back and he keeps up with a 400 no problem!!!
