I am in the middle of putting a clutch in a 330ex. My question is,,,, How tight do the bolts that puts the pressure on the springs have to be? Because you can't put them in tight because then it pushes the plate that pushes against the springs, And then the clutch can't push in cause nothing is touching. I know it is hard to understand but I need help!!!!!!!!!

Well here's what is says in the 400 manual may be the same for the 300.
10) Lock the pressure plate to the hub as follows:
a Install the clutch springs on the hub bosses.
b finger tighten the bolts
c tighten the bolts, working in a crisscross pattern. make several passes so all bolts are tightened in equal steps.

I believe that they are torqued to 7 ft/lbs.

But the problem is that if I make it tight it pushes the springss all the way in. But it has to be out so the piece the pushs the clutch in can push it in. If you make it tight it can't reach it

When i put a clutch in the 250r i had, I had to adjust the cable at the perch and by the motor. It should be similar, haven't had the pleasure to change on my 300. Try it. Let us know how it goes.
