My friend has a yfz450. It would not start, I checked the battery it was low . We charged it to 100% and it will not start. Cranks but does not start:confused: :confused:

Weathers cold. Maybe just not enough juice ?

P.S. Once those little battery's die, and you charge them up they dont hold the charge very well. Maybe its just pouched.

Try your stock cdi when its cold and see if it works. Mine is really finicky in the winter.

Its about 65 degrees out . It has the stock cdi box. I'll take the batery to get tested

oh yeah,check the sparkplug cap too, they come off rather easily.

Thanks to all for the advise!!!!!!! Found out it was the spark plug cap had came loose for some reason. Once again thanks to all:D :D :D

I was JW when yamaha's were called kx's??

LOL ... I bet it wasn't a YZ either ... I bet you it was a Yamaha MX 125 . I used to have one sitting in my shed for 20 years ... sold it last sumemr for $200 to some kid . Ran perfect ... only needed a clutch lever and twist throttle . :p
