Hey all! got some pics of the 450r porting in stock form before the head was sent out for +2mm oversized intake/+3mm oversized exhaust port/flow work.

Just wanted ppl to realize that the 450r cyclinder is only able to accept +1mm intake/+2mm exhaust valves until the cyclinder is replaced with an oversized custom cyclinder to accept +2mmin/+3mm ex. So if your ready to port/flow with oversized valves be sure that your valves do not slap the top of the jug.

Enjoy!

with stock exhaust valves removed. notice thin silver line on the exhaust valve seat. it should be 1mm wide at a minimum. This was from the factory that way,... time to lap in the valves if you weren't getting head work done

:ermm:

this is after port/flow work done on my friends 550r head done by NMotion. They installed +2mm in/ +3mm ex. In this shot you can see that they releived the dome area of the head larger to allow for the larger sized valves. This valve relief removed a little head metal which affects compression a litlle. The valves are Titanium with stock CRF seats. My head will have stainless steel valves instead of Ti for longevity. Ti's are lighter but are not really that huge of performace advantages; plus, they cost $400 for custom size (ouch!).

How did the porting look in person? The pictures make it hard to see it all. Intake side looks nice though.
