shifter wont come off help fast

well my shifter is pushed into the chain and it wont bugde i cant pry it open ti get it off

use a gear puller

TAKE THE BOLT ALL THE WAY OUT AND USE A SCREW DRIVE AND LOT OF ELBO GRESE

take the bolt off

take a screw driver, put it in the lil space at the end

pry open

pull off

yup bolt is out i sprayed it with wd40 and still nothing

changing the oil and moving the shifter up so i can ride with my boots on

ya the bigger hammer worked :p
i got a big hammer and used the side to pry nails out to pry the shifter off

my god....never use a hammer to whack a shifter off....like the one kid said pry it open a bit and slowly wiggle it off by hand.... n o bfh
