Would a FCR39MM carb be good in a 400ex stock bore?

Well it would be better on a bigger ex but It should still help you on top end. might lose a little bottom end tho

I am running an FCR 39mm on stock internals/bore along with an HMF Ballance Pro Series full exhaust, and an MSD digital ignition and have seen really good gains throughout the powerband. It feels like a completely different engine with this setup.

Granted I purchased the carb with intentions of building up my engine, I still think the FCR is well worth the money on a stock engine with an exhaust, ignition, etc. :D

And I agree, a ported head would help a bunch too!
