stock yfz shocks blowing out??????

i bought by 2004 yfz450 used but it was rarely and only sand riden. the guy said that it has no more than 60 hours on it which isn't much thesedays.When i was riding it at sandlake and i wasnt jumping , the shocks blew out and oil went all over the a-arms.I talked to the guys at alba (because i bought elkas from them) and they said yamaha made the yfz shocks look better than they really are. So what i was wonder is if anyone has heard of this happening????????

i never heard about that but the yfz shocks are suposed to be good! :huh

I've seen it, the OEM shocks that are supposed to be so great on YFZ's and 450R's are not that good. Even tho they have rezzies, they do not compare to a good quality set of aftermarkets.

Ive only heard of YFZ shocks blowin out when people make them softer to try to get a smoother ride, and they bottom out.
