Any other places to ride. Some one on here rides on the powerlines near stokesdale i think and i would like to ride with you sometime.

Yes Uwharrie's is better suited for 4x4's, but it's still a decent place to ride. I actually prefer Brown mtn, but it's a long drive for me....

Anyone know where in NC they were riding in Huevos 4? It looked like a pretty decent mx track. Lots of red clay and some decent jumps..

What about around the Raleigh area? Any places that would be good for quads?

The only decent place that I know of is off of New Hope Rd (http://msrvmaps.mappoint.net/isapi/MSMap.dll?ID=3XNsF.&C=35.785747,-78.645271&L=USA0409&CV=1&A=12&S=656,532&O=30.203252,-3.447368&MS=0&P=|35.785747,-78.645271|1|Raleigh%2C+North+Carolina|L1|).

Take exit 13 off of 440 onto New Bern Ave, go east a couple of stop lights, take a right. Cross the bridge (after the yard waste center) and it's on the right or left. (Or get on Poole Rd, and take a left onto New Hope Rd.)

Lots of trails, a few step-up jumps (nothing decent for quads). There aren't any very long straight sections, and most trails have lots of rocks/ruts in them..

I heard from a neighbor that there's a place in Durham that is pretty big, but we don't know where it is yet..

I have ridden off of New Hope once. It was really crowded on a Sunday afternoon. I will probably go again though. Someone said there were some powerline trails off 64 somewhere anyone know of these or the place in Durham?

We usually ride Saturday morning from about 10-3 and never really found it to be crowded. There's that big open area that gets a lot of action, but the trails are pretty empty.

I went Thursday off New Hope in my truck and there was no one. Guess it is just busy on weekends.

Well if you like MX there are several tracks around. I race at the one in Reidsville, its real easy to get to. There is a track in durham, its better for bikes but alot of quads ride there. Devils ridge track is in sanford never been there but I want to. East bend mx track is in winston salem its a technical track. Uhwarrie should be named UWORRY, you always feel like your gonna bust something, very rough. Never ridden at brown mt. There are some powerlines to ride on off of 70 in durham, close to RDU. Theres a road right down from Durham Kawasaki and Suzuki, that takes you back and you have to find a place to park and ride on the powerlines, its pretty fun, dirtbikers and horseback riders ride there too so watch out. Haggars MT. a place in roxboro, been once but couldnt find a good place to ride, recommended that you go with someone whos been there b4.

In looking for that MX track in durham that X-Rider mentioned, I found a site (http://www.mxunlimited.com/States/North%20Carolina.html) that lists quite a few tracks in NC.
