o yea u cant paint plastic, like he said using a flex coat or krylon type paint will prevent cracking. and put a clear coat on it to seal it up, that will make a big difference. the clear coat will protect u from scratching it off on the trails, and the flex paint will keep it from cracking when it bends. it will hold up nicely and will be alot cheaper than new plastics (i dont know y yr spending $800 for that stuff???) if u plan on putting graphics on it then do it BEFORE the clear coat, and then clear coat over the top of it. works great.

i have mine custom painted jet black, and it does hold up if you do it right. when we did it we sanded it with 320 then sprayed a black adhesion promoter (mixed in primer) then sanded again with 400 and then wet sanded with 600. then sprayed final coat and then clear coat. it has lasted a whole year with no chips or crack until flew over a razor back at glamis and rolled it a few times, and bent the chit out of my rears and it finally cracked, but then we stripped it again and started over, i dont have the 500.00 washingtons like most rich boys do, it costs me 30.00 and 3-4hrs of my time and it comes out looking better than plastics, but i dont ride in the woods!

Those things are insane loud. I know drag cars are loud but these things are the high pitched loud that hurts. Anyways, look at the end of the pipes, most don't run any silencers.
