what kind of transmission oil

Should be 80wt.

When I had my Crf450 I liked to use 2-stroke gear oil. Since the Crf/Trx have seperated cases for the oil you can run two different oils to get the best results. I liked the gear oil MUCH better than running std 4-stroke motor oil. ;)

I HAVE ALWAYS USED ON MY 250R AND NOW ON MY 450R REDLINE SHOCK PROOF GEAR OIL, U PAY A LITTLE MORE BUT IS WORTH IT!

I also use the Honda tranny oil, it says on the bottle for 2 strokes only, but it is time for them to change the label,,, its an 80/85 weight, big red bottle

The big red bottle is called HP Trans. Any decent Honda dealer will have it.
