Ok I'm just owndering if my stock 300ex rear shock can be rebuilt??? Got a guy that does bike shocks so might have him do mine if it can be done :)

yes your shock can be rebuilt. i dont know if a regular bike shock guy can do it.

I don't believe the rear shocks are much different from bike shocks, I got a 200R and they look pretty similar other than my 200R has a seperated Resevoir.

sad but true dirtmomma, thats why the raptor rear shock is such a popular mod;)

Also a used 01 Raptor rear shock is probably cheaper than a shock rebuild anyhow.:devil:

Thanks everyone :) yeah I just talked to my parts guy & he said the only thing you can do is get a new spring :( and that was EXPENSIVE!! Has anyone checked the prices on a NEW OEM rear shock :eek2: :eek2: damn it's like 300 or something like that!! I think i may go w/ the 250ex one for $50 it it's not blown out, or maybe I'll look for a raptor one on Ebay or if anyone has one they want to sell me LMK!!!

Check Ebay for the raptor rear. and also post it in the classifieds at Bluetraxx.com. That is more a yamaha site, and there would be more raptor parts there. Check ebay for a stock rear also, you could find a good one pretty cheap as well..

hey dirtmomma i just got a raptor shock cheap on ebay and ive got my rear in very good condition, nothing wrong with it except maybe a chip or 2 in the paint

if your interested pm me, i can give you pics too if you'd like, just another idea
