What is the advantage or disadvantage of having +1 forward on a 400ex riding MX.

Thanks

+1 forward helps keep the front end down on starts if you have a built motor, and helps with the cornering. The 400ex has a good weight balance from front to rear so +1 forward arms are usually reccomended if you have a +1.25 swingarm installed. The +1 front corrects for the +1.25 youve added to the rear, and makes your bike more stable with the longer wheelbase. I used to run +2+1 Laeger a arms with a +1.25 JB swingarm, and I recently went to +3+0 Laeger a arms with the same swingarm. Even though the new a arms arent +1 forward my bike still handles great, so really it doesnt matter a whole lot if your bike is setup good to begin with...

What about on a yfz 450...anyone use +1 forward? How much does it help or hurt handling?
