Does anyone know if there are any benifits of running the dyno jet kit needle with the regular keihn jets because after i got my head ported my bike was running way lean and i was running the the dyno jet 160, so i went back to the stock needle and put it on the 4th clip position and 75 main jet and i was still running a liitle lean, what should i do to richin up, should i go up to a 178 or 180 main. it ruined my riding time at the dunes??

thats weird. i have been told with a ported head your jetting should become richer, thus your carb is getting a better signal. my jetting became richer on the mainjet by a few sizes, so i had to go down on the mainjet. how do you know it is lean? i assume you meant to say a 175 mainjet not a 75?

yah i meant a 175 main, i know it was lean because it would back fire not loud but it did and out of the carb as well, but then at night it ran good. BUt when i would dune that next day to vendors row, i would have it full throttle and my bike would stall like it was out of gas and i wasnt?

i would take the carb off and clean it really well. also, make sure your intake boots don't have any cracks and make sure the boots are on really tight.

yah maybe i will try and clean it really well, but do you think the jet kit is usefull or no? or should i stick with the stock needle and jets?

i haven't used dynojets so i can't tell you. i hear the keihin jets seem to be easier to tune in, but i have no idea why.

Personally, i would use keihin! Although i do have dynojets they are kind of a pain, they skip a lot of #'ers and its hard to fine tune! I'm still thinking about going back to keihin jets! and try to sell my dynojet kit on ebay or something

i have a new jet kit and was wondering wether or not i should use it? because it says it helps but others say it is a pain in the arse?

would it benifit to just use the dyno jet needle and keihn jets, because it has an extra grrove or is it made for the dyno jets only?
