I bent the crap outta my stock bars flipping down a hill, and I would like to take that hideous plastic cover off and put the headlight in a hood. If you could show me pics and the peices you bought of your setups, that would help a bunch, thanks!

Thanks. If you mean the ignition holder yes. I made it out of thin aluminum sheet metal. It was really easy to make.

yours looks real nice but I'm not skilled and/or motivated enough to put that much effort into it:D , and I would like to keep the headlight. any suggestions?

Thanks. Actually it wasn't that hard to make. I just layed it on on the metal and cut it with tin snips and drilled a couple holes in it for the lights and key. You can still keep the stock light and just cut off the plastic parts that extend back to the bars. Or you could use a 250x ignition holder. 88 250r hoods can be made to fit too and the stock 300 light will fit in the hood.

300exOH: That ignition holder is a good idea. I never thought of doing that. I do a lot of tricks that deal with sitting on the handlebars and mine doesn't want to stay on. I might try something like that.
