I just bought a 2000 400EX with a 426 kit. i was riding it this past weekend and blew a head gasket. Do i need a special gasket due to the big bore or will a standard honda on work? if i need a special gasket, who makes one?

what compression are you running?
if you are running a higher compression i would get a flex steel gasket from cometic or somewhere that is for the 426 bore. the flex steel gasket will help with the blown head gasket problems in higher compression engines.

I agree we always use steal flex gaskets. You can use a std bore gasket it will just raise your comp a little.

Do i need a gasket specifically for the 426? i have seen some gaskets that say for a bore no bigger than .40 over, or 86mm piston or smaller.
