Aftermarket 400ex rear shock on 450r

Does anybody know if an aftermarket rear 400ex shock will fit on a 450r. I have a chance to buy a used axis 400ex shock and want to know if it will fit, lenght and linkage mount.

i had the same question regarding an elka. both laz(gt thunder) and derisi said it would not work

i heard they wont mount up at all...you need a longer something or something?? :eek2:

i have been here with the axis. and NO it will not mount up. U will have to buy new main springs, and shock shaft and most likely change the valving. Which u would be better off selling this shock and buying your self a new one.
