I had a TT-R that did that. It was a gear with a broken tooth. Stop riding it and fix it, one gear is much cheaper than 5 if by chance the peice get's into the others and reaks havoc.

:bandit: buy a book and do it yourself, and save about $1000.00 if the cases have to be split. with a book its not very hard at all!!

I needed to repalce my 2nd and 3rd gears after a season of hard racing and riding....not too bad I guess, they showed signs of wear on the edges and sides so I didi not want to risk it..I have over 100 hours of HARD abuse on the engine, so thats not too bad...
Sounds like you've got a broken gear, let us know what it ends up being!!!!!

I actually had my fifth gear slipping caused by me landing on my shifter after overshooting a double. Took the motor apart, realized I had bent a shifter fork allowing play for the gear. Ended up rounding off the edges of fifth gear. It's very expensive if you get a shop to do this work for you. Parts only cost me about $160 but i'v herd it is somewhat around $1000.00.
