Got my MacDaddy back from Marty at the Quadshop.

Thanks Marty for the overnight.

Guess they were running behind, I told them I had riding plans this weekend, so they overnighted the shock on their bill. Good service!

Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the adjustments of this shock. Do I just use the adjustment directions for the stock shock?

Thanks!

You will need to adjust the preload down(to raise the ride height). The rear saggs a lot more than the front. From the pics it looks like you have the pre-load all the way at the top. Other than that I adjust it the same as when it was stock. CJ

Cj, this shock isnt even mounted yet, and I only have about 11-12 mm of space for the SSD spring. When you tightened down your preload spring, how much space did you have?

Does this spring also act as a small bump absorber, or the shock is just setup for SSD?

Were your springs the same color?

Thanks

I am not sure how much space I have for the ssd spring. when I installed it my rear sat much lower than my front. I adjusted both of them (front and rear) to even it out.

The ssd sprind acts like a small bump absorber. You still can adjust the ride hight to your liking though. The taller you make it the stiffer it will be.

My springs are the same color. I just got mine done last week. CJ

I like them a lot. You will have to do some adjusting (ride height and rear compression) to get them right. Rear wants to compress much faster than the fronts. My fronts came with the preload about half way from the top. I adjusted it up to soften and lower them. I have run one race on them and they are real nice. I was thinking abotu steping down to a cheaper set but have changed my mind. Good quality shocks. See this post http://209.120.142.52/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12993

Thats the same thing i had to do to mine. It sat way too low in the back, but once you get it ironed out, it's great.

$300 from www.quadshopatv.com

Alright guys, I bolted it up, and there is absolutley no gap in the spacers. Is this right? Thats without sittin on it.

Thats right, the SSD spring should sag under the bikes weight.

You get a revalve, clean and change shock oil, recharge and the SSD spring kit. It will make a big differance over stock.
