I need some serious help. I have a 2001 400ex with a 440 kit, Big Gun CDI, and WB slip on. A while back i tried to start the thing and it would not even fire. I tried to push it off and eventually it started when i tried it a few min later but it was really rough and i determined that my spark plug was loose. The next time a rode it was a few weeks later and it would not start at all. I bought a new battery and it would still not start. I dont know what to do. Please help!!

What sound does it make when you try to turn it over?

try a 42 pilot jet and buy a new plug. then if you still have a hard time starting it try the stock ignition box. some of the aftermarket ones make the bike near impossible to start in winter. you may want to pump the throttle a few times before trying to start it, but not too many.

It does not make any abnormal sound its just tries to start but wont turn over. I have never had a problem like this with the quad.

check the small fuse located near the battery....1 is a spare

also check all wiring for loose or damaged connections and for a frayed or worn wire
