well i went to my local hot spot to hunt deer this morning and only saw 2 that wasnt worth the effort to drag them out.
so i came home because my foot was throbing and im just beat. (5 days hunting and counting)
anyway, i get home and both kids want to go out on our land. so i get dressed (again) and bundle up both boys and off we go. i sat cody in a good spot and lil'man and i went off to find a nice blown down tree (to hide him...lol) so we sat there for the rest of the evening when about 4pm 2 deer come sneaking up a draw we were watchin. i made sure lil'man could see them then i dumped the heaviest doe. lil'man was pretty excited and did great sitting out there with me:D
so we all go get the UTE and head down to get the deer. well, there is 3 of us on this damn tractor and we have to go down a steep hill. no problem we do it all the time when we get firewood. so 1/2 way down the hill, lil'man hollars out that there is another deer:eek: it wasnt actually another one but the doe i had down decided she wasnt done:grr: so here we are, brakes locked, all 4 wheels sliding slowly (felt like we was flyin:p ) and i know i have to put her down before she gets to far into the neighbors land.
so the old 06 comes up and i drop her with a off hand, sliding down a hill from the seat of this damn UTE shot! lmao both boys were pretty impressed i must say:cool: lil'man tells me "dad, you shot that damn deer just like a cowboy shootin indians!"
anyway, it was an excellent hunt with my 2 boys. a doe tag was filled and she will feed us for a bit:scary: anyway thats my great huntin tale of the season...so far:devil:
