05 400ex

Wats every 1 think of the 05 400ex?........Wats the differ in the engine besides reverse......is it ganna be faster might get it........ over my 02 400ex....and would it take parts from my old 400 like pipe nerfs ...

i have an 02 and have ridden an 05. The reverse was nice and it did feel like the gears were spread out a tad bit more. im not sure if the sprockets are a different size or what. (maybe it was just in my head cuz I was riding the "new and improved 2005" lol.) Im sure your aftermarket parts would bolt right up to the 05. But honestly I dont think it would be worth it to buy a new one, unless you really need reverse. If you need more power upgrade what u have or buy a 450... thats my 2 cents....

I would just modify the 400 you have now. There is not much sense in spending around 3 grand when you could just put it into mods.

Why not get a 450R? Just wondering, but if you're set on a 400 I'd say go with Suzuki/Kawasaki/Artic Cat. But if you will only buy Hondas, then I'd go with the new 400.
