are there any other options for a rear shock on the 250 besides expensive works, elka, axis, etc....., i here a raptor shock off a 01 fits but havent seen it done was wondering if any other shocks would fit to give me more options. its pretty tough to find a raptor shock from an 01 around here and on ebay

ive herd from a few guys on here that a FRONT SHOCK off of a banshee will fit the rear of a 250ex but im not positive on this. never tried it myself.

no, alot of shocks WILL fit.....but wont work right and will be a saftey hazard...the only proven mod like that, that acually works well is an 2001 raptor shock all the other shocks either wont fit or wont work right

its just coencidence that it is the right length and althogh the valving is different it is coencidence that the 300ex geometry offsets the wrong valving and ends up working pretty good. one negative i have been seeing is peple blowing up the bladder in the rez, but it usually took about a year or so of use, so i still say its a good mod. btw, i was the first on this board to do the mod and have seen it done to many 300ex's, so yes, it will bolt up
