I'm either going to get a set of ramps or something to improve my 400ex.

Looking to spend around 150 bucks, its going to be a christmas gift, I could probably spend up to 200 bucks, but would like to keep it around 150. I don't need power mods, I like it stock, so i'm looking into other things like Nerf bars, skids, and the like. I already have a ricochet rear swingarm skid, anything else is listed in my signature.

a set of nerfs would be good or even a graphics kit and shock covers or something. but if u did want motor mods u could get a nice slip on pipe for about 150 i think.

I noticed that you had rear tires but not fronts, so you are running the stockers I assume? You should buy a set of front tires or nerfs.

I have Pure Sport Bandit XCs on the front.

Tusk nerf bars only 100 bux and they are great quality much better than dg and look better to boot. they look like an exact copy of graydon pro line nerfs

Deffinatly go with nerf bars. I slid sideways into a tree this one time, and I bounced off the tree with the nerfs. The nerf bar was bent pritty bad, as you can see in the pic. But if I didn't have the nerf bars, that tree would have bounced off my leg. No doubt that nerf bar saved me from a broken leg, and also alot more damage to the quad itself. I would have had to replace the plastics, axel, and posibly the rim and carrier.

a steering dampner like a denton would be a good cheap mod

I would say some tusk nerfs, their nice for 100 bucks, and just for a bit of power a k&n filter outerwear, and just get a 145 or so main at delaer for total arround 160, safty and wake up the 400 a bit.

If you want no power mods at all you could get ac propegs and best nerfs imo, www.gopartsdirect.com has em for 180.

Also a 14t front sprocket is less the 10 bucks and will give a bit more power. Also the timing ke for 20 is a good investment and remove you choke and a 42 pilot is 4 bucks.

When you decide pm me I have a k&n, jets, outwear, sprockets, skids, ect for sale from my old 400ex.

Got some Renthal bars, I think the nerfs sound like the best idea right now, I don't seem to have problems with hitting stuff on the a-arms or engine skid right now, just the swingarm skid.

I'd really like to keep my feet away from those 11" wide rear tires I think.

looks like a blown headgasket, but i'm not sure if i've ever saw that much of an amount on the top end like that. Hopefully you got that fixed and didn't ride it to m uch like that :huh

His 300ex looks like a bad seal, bad seals will leak oil out like that.

Atleast I believe thats what your referring to, or you posted in the wrong thread :p

Thats what I belive it was. I know it wasn't the head gasket because it was running just fine. Anyways the 300ex is sold.

It has been said, but get nerfs, maybe the pro pegs with the kick up would be nice too.

If I would have had nerfbars a few years ago I would not have ended up in the hospital for 16 days. When I got out I still could not walk, and when I could, I limped for another month and a half.

Now I won't even ride my friends qaud cause it does not have nerfs.
