I ran my piped and jetted stock 400ex to a piped and jetted stock kfx
we were the same but i had mine geared lower for MX, and once i hit my rev limiter then he past me so they are identical.

Is it now? I beat many a z400 back in the day when my 400 was stock. These 2 bikes are practically identical stock, it all comes down to who gets a better start or who is the better shifter.

from what people always told me on here i thought ex's topped out at like 69 and z's topped out at like 71/72?? but the rider is also a biggggg factor in a race between two bikes really similar.

3 mph top speed difference has nothing to do with anything. U could get a 250x to do 100 but it isnt gonna beat a 400ex that does 69, unless you have a really long straight away.

I rode a stock 04' 400ex and a Z400 w/ yoshi slip-on and they felt very identical powerwise...

mods really wake the 400ex motor up. 440 vs 440 i would say they are identical
