hey pappy,
is that factory black plastic because it looks good. i am sure you put something on it to make it shine but i am thinking about changing plastic and i was wondering to just put the factory 2005 black plastic on it or go with mairer.

If i'm not mistaking, Pappy's plastics are Laker Customs plastic...

yes they are Laker, but hes switching to OEM.

my buddy killaquad has a nice 450r for sale around 8000, it has elka shocks all the way around, JD Perfomance A arms and swingarm, Razr 2 tires, hiper wheels, tag bars, full HMF Bill Ballance exhaust, Sparks Filter, Sidwinder Ti-moly chain and sprockets, Powermadd hand guards, Hinson basket and pressure plate, fresh clutch and top end, 2 sets of plastic (one set has never been on), houser steering stem, ims oversize tank, ims pegs. I know i am leaving alot out he is a member here i will say something to him and have him pm you or post on this.

I do have all the Hinson products made for this thing just not put on yet....

I have the +1 Chrome Houser Stem .. just not on yet

I have a new swing arm coming from JD (another +1.25")
and i have new bushings for the a arms that should be here in about 3 days...

The top end will get torn down here in about 1 month and we will check the rings the piston and the sleeve.... we are going to change the rings no matter what but the rest of it we are just going to give a good once over....

It has iRazrs that come with the rear hipers now too instead of the 2s....

it also has a Maier Black vented hood now as well....

Shocks set up for 180#B rider.....

I am looking into selling it only if the other one i am looking at pulls through..... i am looking to get around 8k out of it but i will probably flex from that A LITTLE.....;)

Hey Princess whats been going on? the dealer stuff is going thats about all i can say. We're hoping for the first of the year to be up and going. Hiper Tech looks pretty promising to us, along with a few others, but lets not try to get our hopes up to high. We have a long way to go. Man you still have my number? Give me a call and i'll give you the details on all of this. the reason he is selling it is because he is so impressed with my z he is going to build one. J/J But seriously princess give me a call sometime.

I have a REALLY good deal on another one with more (FAR MORE) mods than mine has........:devil: .....and the chicks dig it too.... << still not a final for sure on the other R though...... so i am still a little hesitant to put mine up FOR SURE yet either...

The Dealer thing is going really slow.... everyone i talk to wants me to be a Quad Dealer... i just wanna sell parts and help my fellow racers out......:ermm: ...... i have a lot of people giving me greef for not haveing a showroom, and not being a Dealer of ATVs....i dont plan on haveing a show room until they back me and i have something to put in a show room...... i run a steel construction company, isnt that good enough......:huh :D

We got ours for 5700 and I have about 1500 in it already with skids, exhaust, filter, bars, bumper, dampner, tires/wheels. And am getting elka front and gt thunder rear, cam, and pro pegs to finish is off 5700 for quad and little over 3000 for xc racing about 9000, and its new and enjoy putting all the stuff on.

Why would you buy one and put 10000 on it to make it race ready when you could buy one that is already built for thousands less? I am also looking for a race ready 450r so if anyone would have and useful info please post it.

ture but how do you really now what happend to that quad before you got it? I would rather by a new one and mod it myself then you can pick out what exactly you want and wont have to take half the stuff off because you dont like that anyway.

You have to talk to the person who you are buying it off of and find out for yourself if they are a Truthful seller and then make you decision from there.....

If i am going to sell mine then all you have to do is ask and i will tell you almost every time my quad has hit a pebble..... and i (and other racers i know) are so anal about the setup of our quads that if there is something wrong with it and it is not as close to perfect as it can get then i will not ride..... i cant ride, not without something running through my mind like "is that going to hold up" or "should i go easy on it"........<< that slows ya down .... your mind working against you....


So like i said you just have to take the good with the bad... if you ask me a Question about my quad i will be as honest as i can within my ability of Knowlege on the subject.......

I would rather buy a FULL BUILT quad instead of putting 14g into another 5300 bike.....I already know how it all goes on i dont want anymore practice than what is truely needed.....;)
