I have the elka rear linkage on my z400 and XC race it, helps out alot sits lower, more travel, got to have the elka shock to work with it though.

How much did that lower your ride height from the stock set up?

I have got the elkas on the front, and the rear is a zero preload setup, the height now is 6 inches under the peg mounts, but the biggest difference was the seat height it sits at least 4 inches lower on the seat. The shocks and the linkage are for sale they wont fit my new 2005 yfz450 (was a die hard suzuki man but had to make the change) the whole bike is for sale with a yoshimura 450 stroker kit (really hauls)

850.00 for rear double adjustable, dual rate, with linkage.
850.00 for front adjustable rebound, preload, and compression, triple rate with piggyback rezzies

Would you be willing to sell the fronts only?

Yes I will sell the fronts only, the yosh stroker kit can cost alot if you go with the cams, carb, and rev box but all that is only needed for MX racing, my Z is set up for the XC racing and it has 38mm carb not the big 40mm, only the exhaust cam has been changed to keep lots of bottom end, the little bit of the little bit of extra stroke helps alot, but be prepared to get new cylinder, piston and gaskets from yosh once a season, exchange your old cylinder and 225.00, and the piston is 140.00 gaskets only available from yosh 66.00, (BAD *** MACHINE PRICELESS)

Actually I would like to trade the quad for a good 1988 or 89 TRX 250R.

On the rear linkage, will only a elka shock bolt up to that?

ELKAS are designed to work with it with the valving and such, but you might get lucky with another type of long travel shock.
