best pipe for a 04' 400Ex?

What's the best pipe for a 04' 400EX? I don't want more power, I want it to sound nice.

I've been asking the same question and from what I can tell, Sparks is the best pipe but its also really loud. The next best is probably HMF or Big Gun, im not sure but thats what I'm looking at. After the big gun and HMF probably pro circuit t-4. Anyone that reads this and has advice please also post under thread "Big Gun or HMF?" Big Gun and HMF are supposed to sound nice, and even tho u dont want more power, it cant hurt :devil: ....also yoshimura is supposed to have a different sound, im not sure what tho.

just wanting sound and no more power sounds rediculous to me. if you don't want a power gain, i would go with a slip on since it will be cheaper. i would honestly look into HMF slip ons.

I looked on the HMF website, I saw it was red, can I order diffrent collors like black? (To match my quad)

yeah I agree with Cal... Buying a pipe is one of the easiest ways to get a significant power increase... Why wouldnt you want to get a great power increase if youre gonna invest the money?? If you just want the loudest pipe and no performance gain get a damn Cobra or something cheap like that. If you want the loudest pipe on earth that actually improves power, then get the TC shorty pipe. The HMF is also awesome. I just find it amazing that you wouldnt want to get more power out of the 400ex through your pipe selection...

I really like my wb e-series, and it sounds great, deap and throaty. with that and the k/n power up kit the quad pulls hard through 2nd and 3rd gear.

I like my Big Gun exhaust. Didn't seem like it added too much top end power, but alot more low end torque. It definately feels like it can pull better up hills without shifting. It sounds great, but pretty loud though, so take that into account too.

This guy up here in minnesota has a white brothers pipe on his 400EX and the thing is fast as hEll.

Sparks pipes are awesome and the sound is completely different from all other pipes. I am totally hooked on 'em. They are fairly quiet at idle, but are throaty at high revs. power is damn sure there. Check out Sparks reputation for perfomance

Curtis Sparks is the best in our hands. Although its loud, it has an incredible horse power gain
