hot cams or web cams

hey everyone, i wanna put a 11:1 piston and a cam in the 400ex. i dont no what kinda cam to get tho. i bought a web racing cam for the old 300ex and it seemed to work pretty good. later on my bro was going to order a HOT cam for his 250x but the guy from like Nacs or somthin said that web cams are more of a race type cam and HOT cams are more trail type. what do u guys think. thanks.

get a hot cam if you want a drop in cam.
i have a web cam and the grind i got i had to get stiffer springs and hardend rockers for it, its a great cam but some arent drop ins like the hot cams are.

do they make a hotcams for the 300ex?

ive ran hotcam in my built 440ex forever and i just recently switched to a web cam "also they do make cams that do not need new springs" but honestly their isnt much difference in the 2 cams but if i had to pick one or the other id probably say hotcam just because i know it ran strong for so long

No hotcams doesn't make a cam for the 300ex, just checked on C&D. But web cam does make a drop in cam for the 300, i've seen it for about 100 bucks.
